A Minecraft Java server with the perfect blend of vanilla experience enhanced by QoL features and exciting datapacks such as crafting tweaks, additional structures, improved advancements, and more!Our greatest inspiration is the Hermitcraft server, and we put a lot of focus on fostering a tight-knit community. Whether you're a seasoned builder, competitive fighter, humble farmer, or simply looking for a place to call home, Onyx SMP offers something for everyone.Our server has an array of enticing features! From special districts (think shopping, minigames...) to monthly building challenges, quests, special events, and even an MCC-inspired championship!PLUGINS
Onyx SMP is a semi-vanilla server, meaning it doesn't require you to download any mods but still offers a plethora of quality-of-life plugins and game-enhancing datapacks.The most notable are CoreProtect, VanillaTweeks, Dynmap, EssentialsX, Anti-MobGrief, DiscordSRV, Graves, Gsit, ArmorStatues, B&C Advancements, TownsAndTowers, and more!SEASON 1
We're here for the long haul – there's never a planned "end of the season." We go with the flow, and as long as at least a couple of players enjoy the server, we go on.Season 1 ended on March 31st, 2024, two and a half years since its beginning. We got to enjoy many events and wonderful memories with a total of 152 players that came through our gates.And we can't wait to start a new adventure with you!

Q. What version is this SMP on?
A. Onyx SMP runs on the newest version of Minecraft - 1.21Q. How can I apply?
A. Follow our Twitter account! We will post a form whenever applications are open!Q. What are the criteria to be able to join?
A. You must own a Java version of Minecraft and be over 17 years old. We will judge each application based on the effort put into it.
Q. Do I need to download any mods?
A. The only mod you might want to download is "Simple Voice Chat" which adds proximity vc. However, that one is completely optional.Q. Can I stream/record videos on the server?
A. Absolutely! We support all our creators and provide many opportunities for content through fun events and games!

WHAT IS IT
Champions of Sonder (COS) is a fan version of the famous MC Championship (MCC) created and hosted by the MOD team for the members of the Onyx SMP!Six teams are competing in a series of 6 minigames —some of which are replicas of the actual MCC games— gaining points based on their performance. In the end, the top 2 scoring teams will go head-to-head in a final match that will decide the winner of the Championship.It's a bi-monthly event hosted directly on the survival server, giving the players an exciting event and content creators a chance to make unique content.WATCH
